Treglos Hotel access statement and guests with special requirements.
At Treglos, we are committed to ensuring that all of our guests are given a warm welcome and their needs are catered for effectively. It is vital we make every effort to ensure we are aware of any guests who have any special needs or disabilities, in order to ensure that their stay at the hotel is as enjoyable as possible.
It is our aim that guests with special requirements do not feel that they are discriminated against in any way and they are welcomed in the same way in which we deal with all of our guests.
As you drive up to the hotel front entrance we have two unmarked disabled parking spaces opposite the side front door. The front entrance has a ramp leading into reception.
The bar, both of the lounges, health spa, public toilets and access to the lift are all located on the same level as reception.
We have only one ground floor bedroom Suite, the rest are situated on either the first or second floor. Of our 42 rooms, 33 of these are accessible by lift, although some may have a single step in the hallway or into the ensuite bathroom.
Where people have a mobility issue which does not restrict them to a wheelchair, we will endeavour to provide them with a bedroom that is easily accessible ie. near the lift or on the first floor.
We have two specifically designed disabled rooms, which are easily accessible by the lift. In the room, all switches and sockets are approximately 70cm to 100cm above the floor for ease of reach. The bathroom has been specially designed and includes a roll-in shower with a seat. It also has a shower over the bath for non-disabled companions.
We have taken steps to keep these rooms available for as long as possible for guests with special needs so it can be offered when requested. However, we cannot always guarantee their availability.
Dining in the hotel restaurant is on two levels. Access to the main section is through the coffee lounge on the ground floor, level with the lift. The bottom sections have one-step descending from the main section. Our Restaurant Manager will be made aware of specific needs so that guests can be seated appropriately and we ensure that trained staff are readily available to assist them if necessary.
We can cater for a whole range of special dietary requirements including celiac, wheat/gluten free, vegetarian, diabetics, and also for guests who make us aware of any allergies they may have. If you do have a special requirement please let us know and we will do our utmost to provide you with what you need.
The main entrance to the swimming pool area is down a number of steep steps. For those who request it we can open the fire exit, which is accessible from the garden and leads directly into the swimming pool area. Staff are happy to assist wherever necessary including helping enter the pool itself if required.
Grounds and Garden
The hotel gardens can be explored via the patio, which is accessed by ramp from the coffee lounge.
To assist us in ensuring the safety of all our guests in the event of emergency evacuation we would kindly ask guests to take the time to read the fire notice in your bedroom. We would ask that guests with any hearing impairments advise reception so that we can ensure that relevant staff are aware of their needs particularly in the event of a fire evacuation.
We can hire wheelchairs and other equipment given advance notice. Alternatively if you would like to order your own equipment we are happy to store it for your arrival.
